Wild Wild Life

Here I sit, typing away, Talking Heads whirling like a dervish all around me. Head bobbing, toes tapping (on air because I have this ridiculously high work table...), one just has to move to Life During Wartime, Girlfriend Is Better, etc.

I am totally unmotivated to knit or crochet. Hot weather maybe. All I want to do is sit on the porch and read. I just finished "Standing in the Rainbow" and am now reading "Can't Wait to Get to Heaven" both by Fannie Flagg. Although there is no quilting in the books, my best description is that they are beautiful quilt of a story!

Over the 4th, E and I visited the new Farmer's Market in Elkhart. It is a very nice place, beautiful and reasonably priced crafts and veggies. The building itself is just lovely and the restrooms are perfect!! It seems silly to get excited about restrooms, but let me tell you, it is a real treat to be in a place with roomy stalls, a shelf for your purchases and obvious attention to design details.

I still love my South Bend Farmer's Market which was founded in 1917. One of my favorite booths is this one (left, The Bootery) has been around for easily 15 years and she always has the coolest baby booties and the best handknit cotton washcloths!

I remember visiting the market all through my childhood, the big treat being a chance to have a fountain soda in the little restaurant with it's 3 "u" shaped counters. My family and I still head over most Saturdays to pick up veggies, plants and breakfast. The BEST B&G I have ever had!

There are two ways to live your life.
One is as though nothing is a miracle.
The other is as though everything is a miracle.
